Facts about Toner Cartridges

Toner cartridges also known as laser toner and is made from solid particles as they are melt down with excessive heat and pressure.

It contains a combination of carbon and polymer powder. The toner is used to fix a printed image to a page. The cartridge emits a fine film of powder onto the printed areas. The paper is fed through a heated fuser that bonds the image to the paper. Formulations of toner vary from printer to printer because toners must meet the specific performance requirement of different printing systems.

Refilling your cartridges is a relatively inexpensive and eco-friendly option and you can find lots of companies offering refilling services. Refilling does generally cost less than replacing your cartridges.

Remanufactured toner cartridges and used cartridges that are refilled with generic toner, are usually assembled by hand, which may expose leaks due to faulty seals.

Give the toner a gentle shake before printing each time, when installed into your printer in the first time. Check the first printout and if it doesn't look like the quality normally obtained, remove the printer ink cartridge and give it a further shake before replacing it. It is recommended to check the conditions of the warranty, returns policy and any replacement charges.
